D3S LED Bulb VS D3S HID Bulb
Compared to halogen bulb, HID xenon bulbs can reduce the burden on vehicle's electrical system significantly. Normal color temperature of car xenon lamps is between 4000K-6500K, while 4300K xenon lamp is white and yellowish. Due to the lower color temperature, the halogen bulbs look dim and not safe for driving at night.
The main disadvantage of HID xenon bulb is that there is a delay of lighting. It needs about 2~4S for HID xenon bulb to lighting. It is not good for driving, especially when switching between high beam and low beam.
LEDs are ideal lighting because they are bright but won't cause glare. LEDs are compact and energy efficient. In addition, LEDs are instant lighting. The biggest problem of LED is heat dissipation. LEDs will cause heat around it. So it needs additional heat dissipation system. If heat dissipation system fails, then the whole light bulb may fail to work.

CARAS D3S LED Bulb VS Other D3S on the market
There are many D series LED headlights on the market. But there is a common of these bulbs. Most are not real plug to play. For some D series LED headlights, you need to take off the ballast and then connect the bulb to the vehicle connector. It is hard for some special vehicles. For some D series LED headlights, they can be connected to original HID ballasts directly, but there is external driver together, which makes the installation more complicated.
Some D series LED headlights can avoid above installation issues, but there is another problem. The LEDs are normal ones which can not bear high voltage. The high voltage from HID ballasts will damage the LED chips and cause whole light bulb failure.
